In contrary to other live acts, Censura has made it a personal goal to persuade listeners to think as opposed to fight. They portray a positive message in their songs, and try to pass this message on to as many people as they can. This purpose starts in Lawrence, Kansas. While the music scene in Lawrence is said to be rather difficult to get into for an up and coming band, Censura has made it routine to headline shows in one of the city's largest venues. While being crowned "Best New Band," by Heavy Frequency Magazine and having steady airplay on local radio stations, the band shows no signs of slowing down.
